Yesterday the world lost a prolific mystery author – Sue Grafton. She started her famous alphabet series with “A Is For Alibi” way back in 1982. I remember wondering many times over the years if she would get all the way to Z, or if the series would fizzle out. But writing mysteries was Ms. Grafton’s life and passion, and this year she completed “Y Is For Yesterday”. She was mulling over a plot for the last book when she passed away from cancer of the appendix.
Although I was never a big mystery reader, I did read several of her books, and had a great respect for her dedication to reading and writing. Ms. Grafton, you will be missed.
